Checks are a valuable and secure way to make transactions. Even in our digital world, checks are still used to pay rent or a mortgage payments, bills, or service providers, or to give money to friends and family.

At Huntington, you can even choose from different personalized check designs. Whether you just opened a checking account and need to order checks for the first time, or you noticed you need to reorder checks, we can help.

4 Ways to Order a Checkbook

1. Order checks online

If you are enrolled in Huntington Online Banking, you can easily reorder checks online.

  1. After you log in, click the Customer Service tab.
  2. Go to Account Services and click Order Checks.
  3. Follow the instructions to complete your order.

2. Order checks on the Huntington Mobile app

Our new mobile app feature now makes it easier than ever to order checks.

  1. Log in to the Huntington Mobile app.
  2. Click the More menu (bottom right).
  3. Under Account Settings, click Order Checks.

Is it safe to order checks online?

The simple answer: Yes. But, it’s still important to be cautious when placing your order. Whenever you do online ordering, make sure it’s a trusted, secure site. Also, do your research and order checks from a reputable service provider. If you need help feel free to contact us, and we can help.

3. Order checks by phone

  1. Call (800) 480-2265, daily 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. ET.

4. Order checks at a branch

It's always nice to see a friendly face. In addition to depositing checks at a bank branch, you can also reorder checks.

  1. Visit a local branch if you need to reorder checks or purchase a cashier’s check. Find your nearest Huntington branch.

Direct deposit is your ticket to Early Pay

Set up direct deposit for your Huntington Checking account, and you could start receiving your pay early. When we receive your direct deposit information from your employer, we make your pay available to you, up to two days earlyΩΩ.

How long does it take to get a checkbook?

Depending on where you order your checks from (a bank or company), it will generally take 10-14 business days. If you're out of checks and need them immediately, consider expediting the shipping process.

ΩΩ You may receive a direct deposit up to two days early with Early Pay if 1) you have a checking account with us, 2) a recurring qualifying direct deposit, and 3) provide us a valid email address. It is at our discretion to identify which recurring direct deposits are eligible for Early Pay and it may take up to 90 days to identify those deposits that qualify. We cannot guarantee that you will receive the Early Pay service due to unanticipated circumstances. Early Pay is automatic and there is no fee. You can opt out of the Early Pay service at any time, by contacting a branch or calling our service center at (800) 480-2265 and asking to have Early Pay removed. How can I get a checkbook fast?

What is the fastest way to get checks? Counter checks may be the fastest way for you to get checks. If you have the proper type of printer and paper, you may be able to print them from home. If you don't live near a bank branch, local printing companies can also help.

Can I walk into a bank and get checks?

A teller can supply you with a cashier's check. Again, just be ready to show your ID and provide the name of the payee and the check amount. If you're a current customer of the bank or credit union, you'll need to specify to the teller the account from which the funds for the check should be drawn.

Can I get a checkbook directly from the bank?

Order Checks From Your Bank You can also get checks from your bank. This might be the easiest option because you don't have to figure out where your account and routing numbers are (see the parts of a check for that information). It might also be slightly safer because your bank already has your account information.

How fast can you get checks from the bank?

Usually within two business days for personal checks but up to seven for some accounts. Usually one business day for government and cashier's checks and checks from the same bank that holds your account.
