Marrakech to fes desert tour review năm 2024

Excellent trip – very competent driver and an excellent play list. Visited lots of interesting places. Well worth upgrading to the luxury tent – excellent and I ate the best food there during my whole tour of Morocco. More information could have been given about where we were going and how long staying for before the tour so you know what to expect

Great trip in Morocco

★★★★★

We travelled from Fez to Marrakesh through Merzuga and Ait Ben Addu. Taking a minivan for our group of 9 [2 families] was a great idea and Said was a great driver. He was always happy to stop in the best places and available to satisfy our requests. Also the preparation of the trip and the exchange of emails with Mouna was quick and clear and the price honest ! If you go to Morocco and prefer not to drive, contact them !

Atlas Mountain & Three Valleys: Private Guided day trip

★★★★★

This was an excellent trip. Karim our guide spoke excellent English and was very helpful & knowledgeable about the trip as he is a local person. He was punctual, polite & courteous. First we went to the Berber village and factory for making Argan oil. We bought Argan oil which is organic & honey which was excellent quality. Thereafter went for a Camel ride after lunch with Berber family. We were vegetarian with no fish & eggs so they did prepare excellent food. Thereafter as the weather was cold we did go up the mountain but decided against walking as we had children instead went to see a lake. After that tea at local Berber family with nuts and biscuit and of course mint tea. Thereafter back to the hotel. It requires a full day excursion. The vehicle was also good air conditioned

Amazing experience

★★★★★

Incredible experience!! Strongly recommend! We went from Marrackesh to Sahara desert with a private tour, Ali was amazing friendly and very well-behaved, always ready for a joke or some Moroccan history information[ the speak fluent in english] also the van is very comfortable. The tour and the cities and villages are so beautiful and they are going to remain in your mind but for sure the best part is the night into the wild sahara where you will enjoy the berber tea around a big fire under the sky. Is definitely an experience that you will remember forever.

Top Experience

★★★★★

The experience was fantastic. Mohamed pick us up very punctual at our Riad and introduce us Rashid, our driver. In a private 4×4 we cross the Atlas mountain, stopping wherever we want to take pictures. Finally we arrive to our destination. There was waiting our camel guide, and we ride the camel during one hour [still sunny] to reach the Camp. The camp was amazing, very comfortable, clean and traditional. The dinner was great, and we enjoy a typical Bereber dance around the fire. It’s a long trip but it worth it, different experience! Thanks for everything!!! We recommend it 100%

Full of Culture, Activities and Experience

★★★★★

My husband and I went on a 4 day Sahara tour from Marrakesh to Fes. There were a few local company options we found, but decided to go with this company from reading the trip advisor reviews….and I’m glad we did. Our driver, Ali, was great. He was very knowledgeable and added a great dimension to the trip. Like most pre-organised trips you’ll always experience things you like more and things you like less, but overall it was a excellent trip and experience. There were many things we enjoyed about the trip but if we had to pick…our favourites were Todra Gorge [and our stay there on the third night], and seeing the stars in the Sahara. If you’re feeling unsure about using local Moroccan travel companies, this was one professional, safe, and we felt like we got our monies worth.

Under the Sahara Stars

★★★★★

The Sahara 2 day camel trek was a highlight of our family vacation in Morocco! The transportation to Zagora from Marrakech was safe and pleasant due to our reliable driver. The camel trek in the Sahara was fun and we loved our guide, who was friendly and was nice enough to take some photos for us. The camp was very nice with a bathroom tent close by.Our Berber dinner was delicious.. It was a great experience and Mohamed was wonderful to work with when I was planning our vacation

Amazing 2 day trip

★★★★★

Great two day tour to the desert. Mohammed and the team easy to do business with and fast to respond to emails. Rasheed our guide spoke great English and was knowledgable on Morroccan history. We were clear that we wanted to be in plenty of time for sun set in the desert so he made sure we got there and made sure the camel driver knew too! Awesome night in the desert with great hosts playing drums, singing and telling jokes. Do be prepared – it’s a long [370km, 6-7 hours of driving] trip to the desert over winding roads, but Soooo worth it! It is broken by wonderful stops along the way at lovely bars and restaurants. Take about 300dirum per person for food and drinks on way out and back – you need to buy lunch and drinks on journey but not evening meal or breakfast in the desert. The stop at Ait Ben Haddou is amazing – a world heritage site and where Gladiator and Game of Thrones has been filmed

Unforgettable desert experience

★★★★★

My friends and I went on the two day tour with our tour guide, Adil. It was our first time in Morocco and I think it is safe to say that we got the ultimate Moroccan experience. Adil was extremely knowledgable and passionate about the history of each destination we went to. We learned more than we ever could imagine. Our two day trip involved visiting the Berber Villages, stopping at local restaurants, seeing the beautiful views for the Atlas Mountains, and of course riding camels into the Sahara Desert and sleeping in the nomad tents. It was such an eye-opening experience that I would highly recommend to everyone. Although it was hard to communicate with the nomads, they were extremely welcoming and made us feel comfortable. Marrakesh Tours is very organized and responsive, which is why I believe that it should be everyone’s number one pick for tours in Marrakech

Amazing desert tour!

★★★★★

First off Adele, our tour guide, was amazing. We were lucky to have such an insightful, educated and well spoken guide with us for the 2 day trip. He made the trip extra special and we can’t thank him enough. To be honest the 500km trip to and from the camels and campsite is long and tough. There are plenty of photo stops however most educational/cultural stops have a sales pitched attached which can be repetitive and annoying. However once you begin the trek with the camels you’re taken to a different world. You trek for about an hour and half to the nomad site. Everyone was welcoming and everything seemed authentic. The sunset and sunrise were amazing and we’d recommend making the effort. The camp had warm showers and electricity [lighting only]. One word of warning, although dinner and breakfast are included, all drinks [including water] are not and must be paid in cash at the campsite. It would have been nice to be told that prior to leaving our guide

One word, Incredible

★★★★★

The 3 day private tour from Marrakech to the desert and finishing in Fes was unbelievable. We were privileged to have Adele as our guide for the 3 days. He was so friendly and accomodating that we felt like family. He was so flexible and he did his best to tailor the trip to our needs. Whatever we requested was never too hard or unachievable. Many times we felt that he went above and beyond his duties. He always did his best and was so humble. Being of Berber decent, his knowledge and insight throughout the trip was amazing. He could hardly contain his excitement when describing the desert. It was quite infectious and the desert trek was the highlight of the tour. His driving was very safe would he do his best to make sure we got see all the places of interest. This is by far the best tour we have ever been on. I can unreservedly recommend this tour and in particularly Adele as a guide

Amazing 2 day road trip

★★★★★

Strongly recommend Marrakesh Tours, very easy to organise and the agency is extremely quick to respond to emails. We were assigned a guide who stayed with us for the 2 days, driving us for both days and going above and beyond his job description to ensure we had the best time possible. We were even picked up from the airport upon arrival in Marrakech and then 2 days later we began our tour at 7:30am, in a very comfortable, air-conditioned mini-van. We frequently stopped to take photos of stunning views, and began our trip in the Atlas Mountains, before descending through various authentic Moroccan villages and finally spending the night riding camels across the Sahara at sunset and camping under the stars in the desert. The next morning we were greeted by our driver [who had spent the night in the town next to the desert] who proceeded to show us various Moroccan artefacts, sights and spectacular kasbahs! Adil and Mohammed were great and professional, thank you for the wonderful two days, would strongly recommend!

Great Trip with the amazing Guide Adil

★★★★★

We were picked up at our hotel by a friendly and knowledgable gentleman in a very comfortable car. We spent a lovely two days together on the road, seeing the desert in the south of Morocco and various attractions on the way there. Mr. Adil took care of our every need and answered all and any questions we had on the way. We felt very comfortable and safe and entertained. He went out of his way to charm our nine year old daughter. Highly recommended.

Very thorough tour with extremely kind and friendly guide

★★★★★

We had a fantastic experience on this tour. You spend the two days driving through all different landscapes in Morocco and the view is absolutely amazing. You’ll drive all the way to the top of the Atlas Mountains [the second highest point in Africa] and then through the most beautiful stretches of palm tree forests and rock formations. The stops along the way are all incredible- including ancient Kasbahs, traditional Berber homes, and great lunch spots along the way. Your night in the desert will be magical. I’ve never seen more stars or felt more serene. You’ll eat a great tagine dinner and spend the night under the stars, listening to music, and just enjoying the perfect moment. The Berber guides are friendly and helpful- they let me get off my camel to do a sand dune photoshoot. You’ll get to watch the sunset from the desert and then head back to Marrakech. We were so lucky to have Adel as our guide for the two days. Not only did he wait for us at the airport when we were two hours late, but he was such a friendly and knowledgeable guide. He answered all of our questions, brought us snacks, and was just such a happy presence in the car. We loved this trip!

I am so grateful to Adil, never I forget these three days trip in all my life because I climb the second high point in all Africa. I see the hugest Kasbah in all Morocco [Ait Benhaddo Castle]. Also I eat the most tasty and lovely traditional food in all my life. Also I see the simple life and hospitality of the Berber peoples. Also I visit the Hollywood of Morocco, thebeautiful Rose Valley, the Gorge of Dades, fingers of monkeys as well as lovely Berber Hotel in all three days. The excellent moments are the sunset in orange huge dunes in all Africa with my camel, the fantastic nomade tents, the campfire, shooting stars, Berber drums, local music and sunrise with lovely Sahara birds

Amazing experience with flexible and committed Marrakesh Tours team

★★★★★

I spent 8 days in morocco along with some of my classmates from university . We had opted for a full package from pickup at the airport , daily transport , accommodation in all the cities we stayed in, desert pack etc to dropping us back at the airport . I have to say we were very happy with the service provided . Every aspect of the package was as promised or better , the driver was very friendly and flexible . It was particularly a challenge for us to organize all this in another country where we had limited contacts , but the friendly approach and constant availability of the Marakkesh tours team made our lives so much easier . The prices were very competitive as well

Excellent 2 Day Excursion!

★★★★★

Was very satisfied with the punctuality and professionalism of our tour guide, Adel. Our guide was very friendly and made sure we knew what was going on, where we were going, and he always made sure that we were comfortable during our trip. We visited Ouarzazate and stayed the night at a camp in the desert near Zagora. My brother and I also enjoyed the food, which was all delicious throughout the tour. All in all if you are looking for a great tour that is worth the price, I recommend taking this tour from Marrakech! Definitely trustworthy and excellent professional service!

Marrakech to Fes

★★★★★

An excellent tour! If you’re looking for a trip that shows you the beauty of Morocco, this ones for you. The two night tour from Marrakech to Fes involves quite a bit of driving – but if you’re after some great scenery then I’d still highly recommend. If you can request a driver for your trip, ask for Abdul; a truly great bloke with impressive knowledge about the country. 5 stars!

We got engaged

★★★★★

My girlfriend and I did the overnight camping trip in the Sahara during the week after Christmas. It was definitely the highlight of our week in Morocco. The drive took several hours through the Atlas mountains and into the desert – the landscapes were some of the most stunning we’d ever seen. Our driver/guide Hassan was excellent – knowledgable, friendly and made us feel very comfortable. After stopping at several sites along the way, we finally arrived and rode camels to our camp site. Under the desert stars with nomads playing bongo drums around a campfire in the background, I asked my girlfriend to marry me. In that setting, she had to say ‘yes’ 😉 Our only regret was that we should have booked an extra night in the desert – since the drive takes several hours each way. We also should have dressed warmer for our overnight in the desert. The desert trip was such a great experience, we booked another day hike through the Atlas mountains with the same company. Highly recommended. A New Year’s to remember

3 lovely days with guide and driver from Marrakesh Tours

★★★★★

We went on 3 trips with Marrakesh Tours. All guides spoke well english and had a lot of knowledge to share with us – and also a wonderful humor. The first to Essaouria by the cost. A long drive but with stops along the way: Snackbreake, stopping to see cute goats eating organ-nuts and the third to look at women making arganoil from the nuts. Wonderful shop were we could buy products made by the oil. Essaouria is worth visiting – a charming city. Our guide/driver gave us a suggestion where to have lunch and it was a good choice. Our second trip was to Ourika valley. A shorter drive with stops along the way. A shop with handicraft, and a berberhouse. The main attraction was hiking to the waterfalls – pretty impressive – and we got a very nice and helpful mountainguide to take us there. Our third trip was around the city of Marakech. We saw several of the kings palaces – old and new – and several ‘worth to visit’-places ind and around the city. Can’t remember all the names – we let the company decide what to see on this trip but as they are very helpful and serviceminded it’s up to you where to go.

2 day dessert adventure

★★★★★

Highly recommended! Marrakesh Tours did a very good job organizing the trip for us. I travelled with my mother and my sister and we all really enjoyed the experience. Abdul, who was responsible for organizing, responded to all my emails promptly and was very helpful and accommodative to our requests. Our driver was very kind and polite. He was very friendly and happy to share with us a bit of the Moroccan culture and the beauty of the region. We felt safe at all times in his company [very important for 3 women traveling alone]. We visited a few sites along the way and a few cooperatives producing regional handcrafts, all the people we met were extremely kind and never tried to push us to buy anything, they were just happy to share with us their art and culture. The experience in the dessert was also very beautiful. The quality of the camp and the service is very good. Thank you team for enriching our experience in your country

The entire experience was great and suitable for our two girls who are 15 and 12. Good to see a different part of the country and while it was busy, worth the trip

Great driver, great experience!

★★★★★

We did the 4 day 3 night tour of the desert, which ended up being 3 days 2 nights due to unforeseen circumstances with one of the hotels we were staying at [this was a call made by the two of us on the trip rather than the organisers. The organisers were very happy to be flexible and very accommodating on this]. I think all in all the 3 day 2 night trip would be ideal for anyone looking for an Atlas Mountain/desert experience. The office organisation was quite formal and bureaucratic compared to the rest of the feeling in Morocco but I can’t stress enough how fantastic this trip was! Our driver Farid was great! We felt so comfortable with him and he was really excellent at pointing out all the local sights and history as well as giving us an insight into Berber life [as he was born in the High Atlas]. We had such a fabulous time, he was super friendly and super accommodating. The best thing about this private tour was how flexible everything could be – it really was down to us what we did. Definitely on the list of things to tell people about!
