Remote Desktop Licensing Diagnoser

Click on [Server Manager] - [Dashboard] then [Add Other Server to manage].¶

[Add Servers] dialog is displayed, click [Find Now] to register 「rds-sh01」and 「rds-license01」 from 「Active Directory」 in the right pane and click [OK].¶

From the [Server Manager]-[Dashboard] tree, click on [All Servers] and confirm that the server name selected in the previous section is displayed.¶

This is the preliminary work.

Click on [Server Manager], [All Servers], [Manage], then [Add Roles and Features].¶

Click [Next] on Before you begin screen.¶

Select [Remote Desktop Services Installation] on [Select installation type].¶

Select [Standard deployment] on [Select deployment type].¶

Select Session-based desktop deployment on [Select deployment scenario] screen.¶

Select host name of the server you want to install, then register it from Server Pool; to Selected on [Specify RD connection Broker server].¶

Select host name of the server you want to install, then register it from Server Pool; to Selected on [Specify RD Web Access server].¶

Select host name of the server you want to install, then register it from Server Pool; to Selected on [RD Session host].¶

Check on [Restart the destination server automatically if required] on [Confirm selection] screen, then click [Deploy].¶

Click [Exit] after you make sure installation of each Roles succeeded on [View Progress] screen.¶

Under "Completion" status, confirm that installation of each role was successful and click [Close].¶

Click RD License server on [Remote Desktop Service] screen.¶

Select License server, then register it from Server Poo; to Selected on [Server selection].¶

The selected license server name will be displayed. Then click on [Add].¶

Verify installation status becomes [Succeeded].¶

Click on [Edit Deployment Properties].¶

Click on [RD License Server], then select [Per User].¶

Perform the work of 3.3.7-3.3.12 in rds-license01.

Right-click on License Server name displayed on [Remote Desktop Services], then click on [RD Licensing Manager].¶

Right-click on License Server name on [RD Licensing Manager], then click [Review Configuration].¶

After pop-up screen shows up, click on [Add to Group].¶

After pop-up screen shows up, click on [Continue].¶

Click on [OK].¶

Verify all of status turn to be normal.¶

Right-click [RD session] on [Remote Desktop Services] screen, then click on [Create Session Collection].¶

Create [Next] on [Before you begin] screen.¶

Input name on [Session Collection] screen, then click on [Next].¶

Select the server you want to configure as Session Host on [RD Session Host] screen, then register to [Selected].¶

Select the usergroup you want to use Remote Desktop, then click [Next].¶

Click [Next] on [User Profile Disks] screen without checking [Enable user profile disks].¶

Click [Create] after verifying configuration.¶

Click [Exit] after you make sure adding session host and creating session collection succeeded on [View Progress] screen.¶

Right-click on License Server name displayed on [Remote Desktop Services], then click on [RD Licensing Diagnoser].¶

Perform the work of 3.4.10-3.4.11 with rds-sh01

Verify Number of licensing available for clients, and Credentials and Connectivity are Available on [RD Licensing Diagnoser].¶
