These are the songs of summer 2020.

Summer 2020 is going to look a bit different than anyone could have ever imagined. Concerts and festivals have been cancelled or postponed, travel plans have been scrapped and people everywhere are anxiously awaiting stay-at-home orders to be lifted so life can return to being somewhat normal again.

Even though summer 2020 isn’t going to pan out exactly how we expected it to, that doesn’t mean we can’t celebrate all the things in life that we are thankful for. These times of uncertainty have brought many families closer together and have given many of us a new perspective on life and that is certainly something to raise a glass to.

Memorial Day weekend is the unofficial kick-off to summer, so whether you’re stuck at home, or social distancing on a boat or beach somewhere, let’s toast the little things in life and make the most of it!

If you’re searching for a few songs to add to your summer playlist, look no further. From Luke Bryan’s “One Margarita,” to the feel-good vibes of Lady A’s “Champagne Night,” these are the 11 best country songs of summer 2020 [in no particular order].

Lady A: “Champagne Night”

This song is 100% pure fun. “Champagne Night” offers a different perspective of a night out on the town and finds the group trading fancy glasses for plastic drinkware and champagne for beer. Break out your “blue jean tux” and enjoy!

Kane Brown: “Cool Again”

Kane Brown’s breezy new summertime single “Cool Again” pairs perfectly with sunshine and good times. Brown, like many of us right now, just wants things to be “Cool Again,” “like we were last summer.”

Thomas Rhett feat. Jon Pardi: “Beer Can’t Fix”

Already a chart-topping hit, Thomas Rhett and Jon Pardi assure fans that there “ain’t nothing that a beer can’t fix.” Cheers to that!

Luke Bryan: “One Margarita”

Four-time Entertainer of the Year Luke Bryan serves up the summer fun in his latest single, “One Margarita.” Filled with tropical vibes, the boozy number even finds Bryan name dropping Bob Marley, Jimmy Buffett and Kenny Chesney. What could be better?

Kenny Chesney: “We Do”

Kenny Chesney’s stadium-ready anthem “We Do” celebrates the lifestyle of his fans – No Shoes Nation. It’s the perfect summer song!

Florida Georgia Line: “Beer:30”

Featured on the duo’s just-released 6-Pack, “Beer:30” is likely to become a massive hit for Florida Georgia Line. The infectious track opens with the line “It’s beer thirty, and I’m thirsty” and goes on to find FGL celebrating members of the working class who have been “workin’ like a dog all week long” and just want to relax and enjoy a cold one.

Kelsea Ballerini: “Hole In the Bottle”

A highlight of her new self-titled album, Kelsea Ballerini’s “Hole In the Bottle” is a drinking song for winos. The upbeat track finds the superstar drowning her sorrows in a bottle of wine and is Ballerini’s first-ever drinking song.

Sam Hunt: “Young Once”

“Young Once” is a fan-favorite on Sam Hunt’s recently released Southside album. The song celebrates the adrenaline-filled adolescent years and encourages listeners to embrace their youth.

Jameson Rodgers feat. Luke Combs: “Cold Beer Calling My Name”

“Cold Beer Calling My Name” finds Jameson Rodgers and Luke Combs celebrating life’s little moments by cracking open a cold one. From clocking out on a Friday to being front row at a “hillbilly rock show,” the carefree tune is everything we need right now.

Brad Paisley: “No I In Beer”

Brad Paisley turns to longnecks to wash his troubles away in his latest single, “No I In Beer.” The upbeat country number suggests “we’re all in this together” and that no one should be drinking alone. “Drinking oughtta be a team effort / There is no I in beer,” he sings on the chorus of the party-ready anthem. Now, that’s something we can all agree with!

Little Big Town: “Wine, Beer, Whiskey”

Little Big Town’s boozy new single features three of our favorite beverages: “Wine, Beer, Whiskey.” The song features a horn line and is undeniably catchy.

Duets are surely double the musical fun – and it’s pretty evident in the Top 40 country songs for July 2021. Most of the tracks that got in this month’s list are actually collaborations from some of the biggest names in the industry. This includes the unlikely pairing of Keith Urban and pop star P!nk, as well as the empowering team-up of Elle King and Miranda Lambert.

But still on top of the list is a solo effort by none other than Luke Combs, who never left the highest spot for two consecutive months. Behind him are his fellow performers during last month’s 2021 CMT Music Awards: Chris Young and Kane Brown.

1. “Forever After All” by Luke Combs

The romantically charged single has helped Combs make another record for the chart. When “Forever After All” sat atop the Billboard Country Airplay, it marked the 11th time in a row Combs had hit No. 1.

But most importantly, the emotional anthem has made itself appealing to fans.

2. “Famous Friends” by Chris Young and Kane Brown

The longtime friends teamed up for the buddy country anthem “Famous Friends,” which music video won the 2021 Collaborative Video of the Year at CMT Music Awards.

The upbeat collaboration is the title track of Young’s upcoming album.

3. “Lil Bit” by Nelly & Florida Georgia Line

Nelly and Florida Georgia Line paired up for “Lil Bit,” an unlikely country-meet-hip-hop crossover. The talented singers first debuted the hit song in October 2020 – seven years after they first teamed up for 2013’s chart-topping “Cruise” remix.

4. “Gone” by Dierks Bentley

Bentley tunes out of life after a rough breakup, leaving his boss, friends, and family in the new song “Gone.” It’s the first new music from the country singer after three years.

10. “Fancy Like” by Walker Hayes

Over the past couple of weeks, Hayes’ silly lyrics about Applebee’s, Bourbon Street steak, and Oreo shake in “Fancy Like” have blazed up several charts – thanks to a viral TikTok video of Hayes and his daughter Lela dancing on a porch.

11. “Things A Man Oughta Know” by Lainey Wilson

Wilson lists a few things that she believes a man should be knowledgeable about in “Things A Man Oughta Know” – but the most important ones are not letting go of the woman you love and treating someone right.
