Playlist Push review

Playlist Push helps recording artists get their songs reviewed, and, sometimes, get them added to popular playlists on Spotify. The site does this by offering to pay curators of Spotify playlists to listen to and review new songs. Recording artists pay for the reviews. When curators like a new song, they may [but are not required to] add it to one or more of their playlists.

Because Playlist Pushs purpose is to help get the artists songs heard, the site is only interested in Spotify playlist curators who fit a particular mold. First, they must have playlists that feature contemporary music. They must have at least 1,000 real followers not bots. Their followers must be engaged and willing to listen to the music that the curator recommends.

If you do get chosen to curate with Playlist Plus, each review will generate somewhere between $1.25 and $15. Payments vary based on the size and engagement of the followers on your list. Your review doesnt need to be extensive. Theyre looking for a few lines, but more than its great.

Tiny acceptance rate

The site says that thousands of people apply to curate songs, but less than one-half of one percent are chosen. You will be rejected if your playlist following is too small; too inactive or is purchased. The site could also reject you simply because they dont have artists that are appropriate for your niche. For instance, if you curate a list of best 80s songs, you wouldnt qualify here because your playlist wouldnt include contemporary music.

While you are not required to add a reviewed song to your list, Playlist Push wont have you review a song that wouldnt fit the genres on your list. When you sign up, youll link the site to your Spotify account and it will run your playlists through an artificial intelligence program to determine the type of music to send to you.

Reviewers are paid through Transferwise.

What their users say:

A wide range of recording artists have reviewed Playlist Plus on Trust Pilot. However, only a few curators have weighed in about the site.

The consensus of the recording artists is that Playlist Plus is expensive, but may be worth it. The consensus among curators is that its tough to get accepted as a curator.
