The four different programmes offered by IB are the Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP), Diploma Programme and Career-related Programme (CP). The major examinations conducted annually are Diploma Programme and Career-related Programme. Exams are usually conducted in two sessions during the year, one in November and in May. There will be morning session examinations that must start after 07:00 hours and finish by 13:00 hours local time. Afternoon examination sessions must start after 12 noon and finish by 18:00 hours local time. A time table is given below for reference purposes. Is IB harder than as levels?The IB is considerably harder than A-levels. In the IB, students must study six subjects plus extras whereas with A-levels students study three subjects. With so much workload, it is no surprise that many students taking the IB end up with relatively low grades (24-30 points).
What percentage of IB students get a 45?Achieving a perfect score in IB is hard but not impossible! Less than 1% of IB candidates achieve an IB 45 world-wide.
Will we have IB exams 2022?Yes! While lots of schools accepted non-exam route IB diplomas during 2020, 2021, and 2022, many schools have now returned to only awarding college credit based on the IB Higher Level exam results for 2022-2023.
What age can you take the IB exam?The International Baccalaureate Diploma Curriculum (IBDP) is a two-year educational programme aimed largely at 16 to 19-year-olds in nations all over the world.
