And as I mentioned earlier, every Blazer model can be configured as front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. Specifically for the sportier Blazer RS, the all-wheel drive system is upgraded with an advanced twin-clutch element that enhances torque response between the axles. Regardless of engine type, a 9-speed automatic transmission is standard on all Blazer models, and is accompanied by five manually-selectable Driver Modes to optimize for a variety of scenarios like fuel efficiency, slippery roads, towing, or sport performance. Speaking of towing, the Blazer can haul up to 4,500 pounds when properly equipped with the available Trailering Package. Fuel economy for the 2023 Chevrolet Blazer (FWD, 2.0L) is an EPA-estimated 22 mpg city / 29 mpg highway. For the 3.6L engine (FWD), EPA estimates are 19 mpg city / 27 mpg highway.
