Team Changes

  • Suzuki left the MotoGP grid after the 2022 season.
  • RNF left Yamaha to become a satellite team for Aprilia.
  • Tech3 KTM Factory Racing was rebranded to Tech3 GasGas Factory Racing. Although using the Gas Gas brand, the team still technically used KTM bikes.

Rider Changes

  • RNF signed Raul Fernandez from Tech3 and Miguel Oliveira from KTM to replace Andrea Dovizioso and Darryn Binder. Dovizioso retired during the 2022 season and was replaced for the remainder of the season by Cal Crutchlow. Darryn Binder will drop down to Moto2 for 2023.
  • Enea Bastianini was moved up from Gresini to the factory Ducati team to replace Jack Miller.
  • Tech 3 GasGas signed Pol Espargaro from Honda and Augusto Fernandez from Moto2 to replace Raul Fernandez and Remy Gardner.
  • Gresini signed Alex Marquez to replace Enea Bastianini.
  • LCR Honda signed Alex Rins to replace Alex Marquez.
  • 2020 MotoGP Champion Joan Mir signed with Honda to replace Pol Espargaro.
  • Jack Miller was signed by KTM to replace Miguel Oliveira.
