Benton deep green tea lotion review năm 2024

Hello everyone! A few hours left and it’s 2019! Do you have a new year’s resolution? Is that still a thing? Or are they called “goals” now? Terms may vary but I think they’re still one and the same, it’s something we want to achieve in the coming year. Although I’m not here to talk about that.

I’m here to talk about one of Benton’s newest products, the Benton Deep Green Tea Lotion. Products with green tea as one of the featured ingredients have not disappointed me yet so when I learned that Benton was searching for reviewers for their green tea line, I rushed to apply. Hehe. I chose the Deep Green Tea Lotion because it’s more challenging for me to find a moisturizer that would suit my preference and skin condition, compared to when searching for a toner. Without further ado, here’s the product details and review.

• Green Tea – Green tea is known for it’s anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties. In skincare, green tea is well-suited to deal with poor oil-water balance, redness, acne and aging.
• Tocopherol – or Vitamin E, is a fat-soluble vitamin and a naturally occurring anti-oxidant.

HOW TO USE:

1. After preparing skin with a toner, apply a suitable amount to face and spread evenly. Softly pat until absorbed.
2. If you do not use a cream, you may use the lotion to layer once or twice to maintain moist skin.

* Use within 24 months from manufacturing date and 6 months after opening the product.

MY THOUGHTS:

Packaging: The item came in a green and white matte box with prints mainly in English but has translations in other languages; namely Spanish, German, French, Italian and Polish. Thank you Benton for taking into consideration that you’re a global brand now and not everyone can read or understand Korean. Even Google fails to properly translate languages at times.

Bottom of the box has the lot number, manufacturing date and expiration date.

The lotion was in a dark amber hard plastic bottle with a screw cap and a spout which was more commonly seen with toners. Though the lotion was light and more fluid than most moisturizers, this type of packaging made it a bit hard to get the product out of the bottle. Kindly check out the embedded video below to see what I meant. I hope Benton would improve or change the packaging. I think a pump bottle would be more suited and convenient for this type of product.

Scent, Texture and Application: This product didn’t have any artificial fragrance. It had a faint green tea or herbal scent which I can only detect when I stick my nose really close to the bottle or lotion. It reminded me of the Benton Dear My BF Bar.

This was a white lotion that’s very light and felt watery the moment I started spreading it on my skin. It’s refreshing to use. But despite it’s light texture, it took some time for the product to get absorbed both on my hand and my face. It took more than a minute with continuous massaging for the product to get completely absorbed into the skin, leaving a slight dewy finish. I’ve noticed that after spreading the lotion evenly but without massaging it thoroughly onto my skin, product absorption rate took a lot longer and my skin had a tendency to become more oily afterwards. One drop was enough for my whole face. I was okay with using one and a half drops at most. Anything more and it would start feeling tacky, and other times it led to more sebum production.

Results: I’ve been using this lotion for exactly 20 days now. I’ve mentioned at the start of this blog post that products with green tea as one of the featured ingredients have not failed me yet, and that still holds true for this lotion. The Benton Deep Green Tea Lotion contains more than 50% of green tea goodness which my skin loves so much. I’ve noticed that my skin has become more plump, feels smoother and more deeply moisturized. There was no unwanted skin reactions to this lotion. With the right amount, it was able to help manage my skin’s oil-moisture balance. Along with the other products in my current routine which targets troubled skin, this lotion has helped lessen the redness on my forehead, cheeks, around the nose and under my lips.

First and last row of photos were taken with my phone’s back camera. While the middle row was taken using the my phone’s front camera. This was the reason for the difference in color and lighting.

OVERALL: I only have two concerns with this product; one is the packaging which made it hard to dispense the lotion, second is the slow absorption rate despite it’s very light texture. Other than those, I’m very pleased to have the opportunity to try the Benton Deep Green Tea Lotion. It’s good for all skin types including oily, combination and troubled skin. Though it’s still best to do a skin test prior to using any product. It’s very affordable too which is one of my main considerations in purchasing a product. Also, since I only use one drop at a time, one bottle will last me a while. I’d put this on the list as a back up moisturizer.
