I enjoy this product because too many pastes and creams are greasy and honestly just not practical if you actually have a job and can’t look at and fix your collapsing and greasy hair every ten seconds. I can put this in, style my hair, give it a quick burst of hairspray, and it’s good for the day. The hold is actually firm, meaning this product makes your hair slightly firm. Not crunchy or crispy, but firm and moveable. I have fine hair, so I need something that actually HOLDS instead of just greasing up my head. I applied it to blow-dried hair, and it actually held pretty well in my medium-length hair, although shorter hair will have better results. I think you get more of a medium hold when you apply it to slightly damp hair. It has a minty and slight medicinal smell to it that I really like.
It’s not super heavy, like American Crew Fiber tends to be. However, it’s quite tacky, so it can grab and pull on your hair as you apply it, so don’t apply it to bone-dry hair. It also feels clean, which is great. It washes out of hair easily as well.
The jar is comically small, but you get a decent amount of product in there. Other reviewers complain about the jar size but they don’t realize that most other jarred products are shorter and flatter, with walled sides...so it just looks like you’re getting more because the container is larger.

I have tried a lot of different pastes/gels/clays and this is by far the best one I have used. It has very good hold without being like a glue in your hair. Nice matte finish and it smells nice as well.

I’ve gotten many of their branded hair styling products and this one is by far my favorite. Not too oily. Good hold. Easy on hair. Lasts quite some time. Overall a great product I use almost everywhere I go.

I've been searching for a replacement product for a while and trying out a few as mine was discontinued. This was hanz down one of the best I've ever used and I'm so happy I tried it. Nice and light and great scent, smaller packaging so easy to pack and overall great!

This product provides a high hold, while also leaving a minor shine that gives off that wet look. Very pliable and definitely lasts almost the whole day. Would definitely recommend!

This gel works well, has good texture and a great hold. I use a small amount after applying hair cream and it gives me great results.
Unfortunately, I cannot stand the smell. It’s like a punch in the nose every time I put it in. I’m not sure how anyone stands the odor to be honest. The few times I’ve used it I’ve sprayed a salt texture product after to cover the smell. It makes it more tolerable but I’ll be trying something different for sure.

I absolutely love this product. I have straight hair, and this paste give me such great volume and holds for the day. I pair it with hairspray so I can go from morning till night. I used to use the fiber from American crew, but I think they changed their formula and I feel it's not as good as it used to. I highly recommend this product tho. A bit pricey but worth it
