Coachella 2023 prices Reddit

Hello- first time at Coachella and coming from NZ!

1. Is there a place where we can create an account now for presale or do I have to wait until it’s announced?

2. For the payment plans- I see they have a $99 deposit option. If we buy multiple tickets under 1 transaction - is it $99 for all tickets or $99 per ticket? Thanks for your help!

In light of Porter Robinson’s Second Sky (Also run by GV) festival being cut back to just one day due to lackluster ticket sales (with most blaming the price), do you think anything will be cut back from Coachella 2023?

I’m certain they’ll still do two weekends, but do you think anything will get cut back concerning art pieces/amenities/services? Or god forbid they hire an even cheaper, even worse security team? Is there any precedent for this?

Im concerned because they shut down presale to save face when it didn’t manage to sell out for an entire day when it has historically sold out within hours. If you’re here I’m sure you’ve seen no shortage of people complaining about the prices and “convenience” fee markups this year. Safe to say the lack of sales is largely driven by cost and I don’t see them lowering costs to attract more buyers when thousands have already paid full price.

Speaking of historically, I’ve heard this year had the one of the worst lineups and by far the worst logistics of almost any Coachella (anecdotal evidence I’ll admit I’ve only been once this is from people I know who have been multiple times) I know they have a lot of goodwill to burn through but that doesn’t pay the bills.

Full disclaimer: I went for the first time this year and I had a great time. I was cool with less “big” acts because I follow a lot of their lesser known performers this year. I’d love to go again but like many the price has me second guessing. I could go to Coachella… or two almost as good (based on this year) festivals for the same price. I feel like Coachella is still barely worth it given current costs but if they have to stretch things out or cut them I’m not sure.

My gf and I are on the fence even getting presale this year. The prices get higher and higher each year and the lineups just don't justify that. Coachella just no longer seems like that great of a deal. I definitely still want to go, and I do enjoy it every year, but I think next year's play is to wait around and snag some below face value tickets on the second hand market. We live an hour and a half away, plus we car camp, so we don't need to worry about flight/hotel/Airbnb/car. Just get our discounted tickets a month out.

Hey everyone, Coachella 2022 was my first time going to Coachella and I had such a great experience that I'm already planning for Coachella 2023. However, I was wondering should I purchase the presale tickets that comes out around June? OR Should I wait till the week of? Where tickets were selling for less than face value.

This year, I managed to get save around $200 each ticket due to the tickets being so low. Does this always happen every year? Or is this the case only for this year? And if it's only this year, what was the reason the tickets stump so low?

That's just their way of increasing prices. It seems like it pissed people off more than just increasing the base price, but I don't know i'm not in marketing. I guess this way they can claim the tickets are 450 and plenty of people will make a rushed decision once they are in checkout and all the fees get tacked on.

There’s no reason for a festival in 2023 to even be physically shipping anything. Just do digital tickets christ.

Exactly. It's not a music festival, it's a commercial event. Like Cannes or Fashion Week, you go to it to be seen there.

They prpbably ship the wrist band in a cool little package with some crap along side of it so you can post getting your wrist band to social media.

Until people wise up and stop buying shit like this the companies will continue to raise prices. That's absolutely crazy but not as crazy as one of my co workers telling me she paid $700 for one Jonas Brothers ticket resale a couple years back... I almost fainted.
